After a week of travelling it’s nice to have one day back in Manchester!

Last week started with a trip to Exeter to meet with civic leaders from across Devon and Cornwall to plan towards our launch event ROC Devon & Cornwall in Plymouth on October 20th. The Police kindly hosted the lunchtime briefing in Exeter and our ROC SPOC (single point of contact) Norman Amey did a superb job in pulling everyone together. We have all the major agencies on board, including the Police, Fire and Rescue, churches, probation and local authorities as well as good support from Gary Streeter MP. More meetings take place in August.

From Exeter to Bradford on Thursday when I spoke at ALC Leadership academy and met people from all over the UK as well as people who are based on the Faroe Islands!

On Friday and Saturday Jennie and I were in Northern Ireland. We had meetings with churches and Police reps in Ballymena and Coleraine. Also a great meeting with the Assistant Group Commander from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue service. On Saturday I spoke at Focusfest to over 1000 women who were keen to find out more about ROC NI, which launches on May 9th 2012.
